Established in 1989 Trent 'arrived' at the sharp end when the home market was operating in a difficult climate, reducing its steel production and dramatically cutting its number of suppliers. It was also a time when steelmakers worldwide were systematically pressurising suppliers for higher quality and lower prices. Despite this increasingly difficult business environment and intense competition Trent succeeded in expanding both its product range and markets.

Also with extensive experience of export, Trent routinely receives requests from steelmakers, non-ferrous, glass and cement works worldwide for information, quotations, design solutions and deliveries. Each one requires individual attention and personal care from accepting the order through to co-ordinating all the shipping documentation and ultimately a letter of thanks from the customer.
